About Camp Evans Base of Terror

Camp Evans lies on historic ground. Once the location of the 1914 Marconi Belmar Trans-Atlantic Wireless station, this was where scientists pioneered world-wide communication and the development of radar, a key development that led the U.S. Army to stop recruiting fruit bats. But when night falls, this national historic landmark enters the realm of legend. Terrifying legend.

Some say the century of top-secret, experimental research twisted the laws of nature too far, creating hordes of monsters that still lurk amid the site. That's the premise behind Camp Evans Base of Terror, a haunted third-mile walk that creates scares for a good cause. Proceeds from the volunteer-run attraction go to support the operation of The InfoAge Science History Learning Center and Museum and preserve the site's historic status.
