In “Divas Through the Decades,” a powerhouse cast of actors, singers, and dancers escorts audiences down music’s memory lane in a lavish salute to famous female artists. In this carefully choreographed original production from Palace Theatre artistic director Carl Rajotte, imported hoofers from New York City combine their talents with returning Palace Theatre songbirds, including Michelle Rajotte and Angela Birchett. Accompanied by a live band, striking visual effects, and a dizzying number of costume changes, the singers unload their lungs and show off their hot-stepping expertise as they step into the shoes of legendary chanteuses such as Donna Summer, Gloria Estafan, Pat Benatar, and Madonna.

Palace Theatre

Through shows and original productions, the historic Palace Theatre keeps the Manchester community entertained while boosting artistic development in the city’s youth. Fashioned after Broadway’s Palace Theatre, featuring a similarly striking marquee, the theater helped Manchester develop its own “Great White Way” upon its 1915 debut. Having played host to the likes of Harry Houdini and the Marx Brothers during its vaudeville days of the 1930s, the Palace eventually became a movie house after vaudeville faded. Though the theater sadly vacated in the 1960s, it rose again in the ‘70s after a loving renovation that updated the interiors but kept all of the original charm. According to the New Hampshire paranormal research society Ghost Quest, the Palace Theatre is also haunted, but not by the ghosts who are vengeful or ruin perfectly good bed sheets.
