Dub FX is the definition of a one-man powerhouse. Known offstage as Benjamin Stanford, this Australian-born artist built a global following by creating full tracks live — no band, no backing tracks, just a loop pedal and pure vocal skill. From beatboxing to singing to rapping, he layers every sound in real-time, delivering a full-scale performance from scratch.

Meet Dub FX
In 2006, with just a backpack and a dream, Dub FX left Melbourne to busk across Europe. What began as a way to fund his travels quickly turned into something much bigger. His street shows, marked by deep lyricism and jaw-dropping technical ability, began pulling crowds who couldn't help but stop — and often left with a CD in hand.
A turning point came when filmmaker Ben Dowden captured Dub FX performing Love Someone on the streets of Bristol. The viral video skyrocketed to over 30 million views, propelling Dub FX from pavement performer to international festival stages. His independent rise has since become legendary.
Without relying on radio, TV, or major label deals, Dub FX has:
- Released six studio albums
- Sold over 250,000 records independently
- Headlined festivals worldwide
- Surpassed 300 million YouTube views
- Built a massive social media following
