For 30 years the Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle has served as the unofficial start of summer for the metro region. With fun, samples, music, and, of course, barbecue there is something for everyone. We hope to see you at the B-B-Q!
Includes live music, free food samples, children’s activities, cooking demonstrations, interactive exhibitions, and so much more. Rain or shine event Dates: Saturday, June 25: 11 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26: 11 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle
- Live Music: 30 bands on 3 stages performing rock, reggae, jazz, blues, R&B, and pop.
- Free samples: Try a wide variety of barbecue and other great foods in the heart of DC.
- Watch and learn: Professional and celebrity chefs will put on demonstrations and shows of skill.
- Entertainment: Multiple cooking competitions, live music from more than 30 bands on three stages, an official Nathan’s hot-dog eating contest, and more.
- Play: In the Giant Kids Zone featuring rock climbing, moon bounce, fun wagon, skate mobile, arcade games, and more!
- Drinks: Various wines, seltzers, and beer will be available to sample and purchase.
