Italy vs. Brazil: Legends Soccer Match
In what’s being hailed as a “Clash of the Titans,” Italy and Brazil square off on October 24 during a first-of-its-kind international soccer match on South Florida soil. Both clubs are considered European and South American soccer royalty, with five World Cup titles to Brazil’s name and and four trophies to Italy.
Some of the game’s most iconic legends plan to trot onto the pitch at Lockhart Stadium for the match, with some even coming out of retirement. Brazil’s roster features such names as Rivaldo, Edmundo, Emerson, and Aldair, and Italy counters with the likes of Franco Baresi, Alessandro Netsa, Christian Vieri, Roberto Mancini, and Gilberto Silva. Fans in attendance that night will enjoy the rare chance to see these players in action before they return to their homelands or get replaced by eerily realistic holograms.
