Lewis & Clark owners James and Karen talked about what makes Lewis & Clark special. “Karen and I are here every day, interacting with our guests and staff,” James said. “After 25 years we still enjoy the connection we have with them as much as ever. Small and personal works for us and our staff."
What is the experience customers can expect? “It’s the perfect river for families and folks looking for a bonafide, wet, fun whitewater experience without feeling scared,” James said. Whitewater trips are 8 miles of Class II and III rapids with calm stretches along the way. You’re on the water between 1.5-2 hours. Scenic floats are 13 miles.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? _James says, "Growing up in Wyoming outdoors shaped us. Finding a way to actually make a living at it was a dream come true." He says, "We get to share something we really love with our guests. Being an outfitter is about providing experiences to others who might not otherwise have that access." _
What do you love most about your job? James and Karen say it's the people. "We genuinely enjoy the phenomenal array of people who choose us to go rafting. With Yellowstone & the Tetons nearby, It's just so cool to live in a small town in Wyoming, yet encounter folks from every walk of life, and show them what makes our place special."
