Nitty Gritty Dirt Band: 6 Decades from Dylan to Grammys
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band started in a Long Beach high school bedroom, where a teenage Jeff Hanna obsessed over Bob Dylan’s picking patterns. Nearly 60 years later, that obsession has come full circle with Dirt Does Dylan, their latest album honoring the man who set them on their path.
With a lineup that includes Rosanne Cash, Jason Isbell, and Steve Earle, they tackle “The Times They Are A-Changin’”, while Hanna and his son Jaime bring a haunting beauty to “Girl from the North Country.”
The band’s signature mix of folk, rock, and country remains, but their sound is sharper, deeper—these artists have spent a lifetime learning when to push forward and when to let the music breathe.

With three Grammys, a spot in the Grammy Hall of Fame, and country hits like “Voila (An American Dream),” “Modern Day Romance,” and “Stand a Little Rain”, the Dirt Band has never stood still.
Their latest album, Dirt Does Dylan, brings them back to their roots, produced by Ray Kennedy (Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams) and Jeff Hanna in a modest Nashville studio tucked behind an auto parts store.
Little Feat: Genre-Bending, Full of Feeling
Little Feat is an ongoing conversation between rock, blues, funk, country, and everything in between. Since 1969, they’ve rewritten the rulebook on genre-bending American music, mixing California rock with New Orleans grooves and deep Southern blues.
With iconic albums like Feats Don’t Fail Me Now, and the legendary live album Waiting for Columbus, they’ve influenced everyone from Bonnie Raitt to Phish.
Through tragedy, lineup changes, and decades on the road, they’ve kept their fire alive. Now, with new members Scott Sharrard and Tony Leone joining core players Bill Payne, Sam Clayton, Fred Tackett, and Kenny Gradney, Little Feat is still proving why their music never fades—it evolves.
