About Port Discovery Children's Museum

Named one of the top 12 children’s museums in the nation by Fodor’s Travel, Forbes and Parents Magazine, Port Discovery features a profusion of exhibits and programs designed to entertain and engage children ages birth through 10 (though all ages are welcome). The museum’s three floors of kid-focused fun are rooted in interactivity, with various permanent exhibits giving kids the chance to go shopping, erect structures, create artwork, and solve mysteries. Check out some of its main attractions:

  • Eye Catcher The Wonders of Water exhibit introduces human tadpoles to water chimes, a stream table, a bubble hoop, and other vital imports from Atlantis.
  • Permanent Mainstay KidWorks, a three-story urban tree house, gives guests a chance to practice for the predominantly arboreal architecture of the future.
  • Special Programs: The museum regularly hosts celebrations for holidays and cultural occasions, such as "Countdown to Kindergarten" or "Native Voices Days".
