The Scouting Report
Padres pitchers have been a living nightmare for opposing hitters all season. The staff has compiled top-five numbers in several stats, including ERA and opponent’s batting average. This Friday, after the All Star break ends, the team returns to the field to begin the second half of its 2014 campaign. In the coming weeks, fans can watch the team clash with NL opponents, including the Braves on August 3. That game will follow Jr. Padres Photo Day from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., when kids can snap pictures with some of their favorite players on the field.
