Zoo Uncorked

Hosted by Friends of the National Zoo, Zoo Uncorked brings revelers up close to endangered animals while enjoying wine from local and national wineries and vineyards. Local food trucks serve up popular fare, and attendees can take home a commemorative wine glass to remember the festive occasion.

• The Activities: As guests sip on unlimited wine tastings, they can dance to live music, peruse wildlife art, and visit The Art of Conservation, an exhibit and sale of handcrafted wares from local artists.

• The Surroundings: Stroll through the Olmsted Walk to watch some of the zoo’s most popular residents in the Small Mammal House, Reptile Discovery Center, Think Tank, and Great Cats.

• The Cause: Proceeds from the night benefit the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in its mission to save species.

• The VIP Treatment: Exclusive access to VIP-only areas and animal encounters, access to special samplings from local restaurants and wineries, and a takeaway gift.
