About Book Now: Southern California Railway Museum

The non-profit Southern California Railway Museum has been preserving Southern California’s railway history since 1956. Home to over 200 historic railway cars and locomotives from Los Angeles and the West, the Museums 110-acre site in Perris, California is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday, excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. Explore the West’s largest collection of railway locomotives, passenger and freight cars, streetcars, interurban, and other artifacts dating from the 1870s. See active restoration work as our volunteers work to both mechanically and cosmetically restore damaged historic rail pieces to their original state. You can also visit the Fred Harvey Exhibit to learn about the Harvey Girls. Railway trains operate every weekend—visit us to experience a day of family fun exploring the large grounds and riding the trains and trolleys that helped create the Southern California we know today. Check our Event Calendar for a list of special events, open exhibits, and ongoing restoration work.
