Nationally ranked Trojans clash with former Assistant Coach Steve Sarkisian’s Washington Huskies in heated homecoming game

Like cliff diving or ferret ownership, football is an endeavor best watched from the sidelines. Witness acts of bodily bravery with today’s GrouponLive deal to the USC Trojans home football game against the Washington Huskies at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, November 12, at 12:30 p.m. Choose between the following options:

  • For $60, you get two tickets for seating in the west end-zone section (a $120 value).
  • For $120, you get four tickets for seating in the west end-zone section (a $240 value).<p>

The gridiron heats up as the nationally ranked USC Trojans whip out their defensive harnesses and attempt to tame the ferocious offense of their Pac-12 rivals from the Northwest. Tensions between these two storied programs have risen to feverish levels in recent years as former USC Assistant Coach Steve Sarkisian has mushed his new team back into title contention. Lane Kiffin’s Trojans take to the field with a sense of purpose in their homecoming game, homing in on the Huskies’ offensive stratagems and quickly dismantling wooden horses filled with sneaky wide receivers. In his third year, quarterback Matt Barkley leads his team’s charge to the end zone with surer feet and increased poise. Star receiver Robert Woods remains Matt’s favorite target as he stays on pace to rack up more than 1,000 yards and substantial dry cleaners’ fees for his dozens of jerseys stained with end-zone paint.

As the Trojans’ stomping grounds since 1923, the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has undergone many transformations on its way to a whopping capacity of 93,607. Fans seated in the stadium’s west end-zone section will witness the pageantry of homecoming and the hilarity of halftime when the Trojans man a giant dogsled to chase the Huskies around the field.

About USC Athletics

USC's student athletes have a proud history of winning, and not just in collegiate sports. They also dominate in international competition at the highest level. Since the Trojans sent their first athlete to the Summer Games in 1904, they've won 587 medals, including at least one gold medal in every Games since 1912. If USC were its own country, it would have the 16th-most medals of any nation, but still no standing army to defend the podium from jealous fourth-place finishers.

Trojans' accolades at home are just as impressive. The football team commands an all-time record above .700, winning more than 30 bowl games and as many conference championships. All in all, USC teams have won 97 men's national titles and 25 women's, more than all but two other schools in the country.
