For $20, you get four general-admission tickets for first-come, first-served seating to a regular comedy show (up to a $92 value). Check the calendar for upcoming performers, dates, and times.
Virginia Beach Funny Bone prepares for winter’s doldrums by stockpiling a roster with the antics of comedians. Among the upcoming jesters is the explosive Basile (September 19–23)—an oft black-clad comic who rips through decibel registers as easily as he rips into diet programs, using a commanding voice that he’s lent to the Universal Studios character Bullwinkle J. Moose and the Japanese anime series Bubble Gum Crash Crisis. Also soon to take the mic is Bert Kreischer (October 11–14), also known as Bert the Conqueror from his Travel Channel reality show. Firing a fast, nonstop act that piles punch lines on top of one another, Bert’s sets have taken aim at the world of dads, husbands, and men like himself who have accidently fallen in the shower. When he was in his sixth year of college at Florida State, Rolling Stone helped launch his career in a profile piece that declared him the No. 1 partier at the No. 1 party school. Near autumn’s end, Wendy Liebman (October 18–21) takes the stage with the sharp, punctuated delivery she’s practiced while sharing stories on the Late Show with David Letterman about relationships, children, and accidently melting things in her car.<p>
