About The Golden Steer Steakhouse
From the dark-wood paneling to the burgundy carpeting's oft-traveled fibers, hints of vintage Vegas thrive inside The Golden Steer Steakhouse. Since 1958, the restaurant has been serving prime rib and new york strips under the noses of anticipant diners—which many times have been affixed to the faces of American icons, including Frank Sinatra, Joe DiMaggio, Elvis Presley, and Marilyn Monroe. The long-tenured staff members add life to the legends, passing down stories at tables and behind the spacious bar, where a Victorian-inspired ambiance offers a tip of the fedora to San Francisco's Gold Rush era. The restaurant's famous cuts of prime rib and new york strip steaks earned it the Las Vegas Review Journal's title of Best Las Vegas Steakhouse in 2010 and 2013. During the spring of 2012, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman officially named April 7 Golden Steer Day, honoring the steak house's residency in Sin City. In 2013, Zagat recommends this steakhouse above all other steakhouses in Vegas.
