Honest John, one of Detroit’s favorite comics, headlines the show. John was already approaching middle age in 1987 when he started performing comedy, but his hilarious brand of straight-talking stand-up soon made him a star. He’s been seen on BET’s Comic View, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam_, Showtime at the Apollo and Comedy Central. He spent four years on the famous Def Jam tour. He’s performed at the nation’s elite comedy clubs, hundreds of colleges, and for U.S. troops around the world. He’s also acted in such films and TV shows as The Wash, For Da Love of Money, Foolish, The Jamie Foxx Show and more, but his first love is still stand-up.
