Manhattan By Sail takes you on a relaxing sightseeing tour through New York Harbor on the Hudson River aboard the majestic tall ship Clipper City. At 158 feet long and 120 feet high, the Clipper City pays magnificent tribute to New York’s historic sea-centered past, but she’s also been outfitted with all the 21st-century amenities you could want, including an on-board bar.

Daytime and Afternoon Sail (90 minutes)

Take a step back in time on New York’s only tall ship. From her spacious main deck or raised quarter deck, you’ll enjoy the sailing experience of a lifetime aboard this majestic topsail schooner as we unfurl her canvas and set sail through the harbor.

City Lights Sail (90 minutes)

See the world’s most famous skyline light up the night. This city lights cruise is the perfect way to enjoy an evening on the water with friends and family. Order a drink from our full bar as we drop canvas and leave Manhattan behind.

We strongly believe sailing should be accessible to all, regardless of mobility challenges. The Clipper City Tall Ship, although built prior to the A.D.A., is wheelchair accessible to 80% of the public deck space.  Boarding the vessel usually requires an assist from one of our friendly crew as wakes from ferry boats and tidal change can create challenging conditions. Clipper City has a large main deck with restrooms on the same level. Bathrooms on Clipper City cannot be entered whilst in a wheelchair, but you may transfer from chair to bathroom as we have a grab bars inside. Please reach out to us so we can clarify and make arrangements to ensure the most comfortable possible experience aboard our vessels.
