Whether you're an experienced Canuck or a stone-cold newbie, you'll want to come check out this fun ice-based activity for the whole family. The sport of curling has been mega-popular in Canada and Scotland for years, and is a crowd favorite at the Winter Olympics. At Portland's Evergreen Curling Club, all equipment and instruction will be provided, and you'll get an excellent introduction to the basics, including sliding stones, sweeping, skipping and game strategy. Then it's on to the ice to learn and practice your skills before testing your mettle in an actual game. Already a veteran curler? You can skip the lesson and just grab a two-hour session on the ice.

Event Description:

Recommended for ages 8 and up. Athletic shoes required. Wear layered warm clothing that allows you to bend and flex. It will be cold on the ice.
