The seasons, weather, and elevation partially determine what you’ll see on your tour.

Paradise is usually snow-free by July, with alpine flowers appearing shortly thereafter. Mount Rainier itself may be shrouded in clouds at any time of year.

Please dress for the weather and be prepared for cool-cold temperatures on the mountain.

Hiking shoes or boots are recommended.

There is a paid parking lot at the corner of 5th Avenue N. and Harrison that is close to MoPOP.

There are no wheelchair lifts on the tour shuttle. However, folding wheelchairs can be accommodated, and all tour destinations will make allowances for special-access requests.
