The Southland's finest string musicians riff off and duke it out with one another at Topanga's 58th annual Banjo*Fiddle Contest and Folk Festival at the Paramount Ranch in the scenic Santa Monica Mountains. This all-day music extravaganza features three stages of established bluegrass, folk, western and Celtic bands, along with performances by the contestants, and plenty of the always-popular jam sessions around the park. Head to the Dance Barn for flatfoot and clog dancing, entertain the younger set with kids' ukulele workshops, browse folk art vendors, and stay fueled up at the onsite food trucks for this day bursting with fun.
