A pair of music's most powerful voices come together for a night of blues, rock and funk at Sacramento's Red Lion Hotel Woodlake. Dr. John and his band The Nite Trippers get the good times rolling wherever they go with their New Orleans gris-gris sound. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and six-time Grammy winner, Malcolm John "Mac" Rebennack, aka Dr. John, draws on musical influences ranging from rock to blues to zydeco and boogie woogie. He's best known for his hit "Right Place Wrong Time" but you may also recognize him as the inspiration for the Muppet character, Dr. Teeth. Eric Burdon and The Animals were at the forefront of the British Invasion with anthems like "The House of the Rising Sun," "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." With his powerful pipes and commanding stage presence, Burdon went on to co-found and front the funk band War ("Spill the Wine"), creating a legacy that landed him on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Singers of All Time."
