Along the way, there are unexpected detours filled with music, slapstick, juggling, trapeze artistry and more. The Actors Gymnasium in Evanston stages this annual winter circus, which stars their adult professional artists, and is designed to entertain everyone age 5 and up. Director Leslie Buxbaum Danzig, who holds a PhD in Performance Studies from Northwestern, loosely based the story on Leo Tolstoy's "The Three Questions."
