Monologue Madness has become quite the phenomenon in the Washington, D.C. theatre scene. From an open-call audition, 32 of the area's best actors are chosen and placed into a single-elimination tournament bracket. Before a live audience and panel of casting directors they have one minute to present their best monologue. Throughout five quick rounds of comedy, drama, and classical work, the Final Four actors are handed a never-before-seen script with which they have five minutes to prepare, before performing on stage. The last actor standing through the final mystery round walks away with $1000! Unrehearsed and unpredictable, this annual tournament of acting returns to our nation's capital for year number seven!
