Online Booking - Round of Golf at Boulder Creek Golf Club
In the Las Vegas golf realm, high rollers head to Boulder City because of the spectacular and extravagantly pricey Cascata Golf Club. Meanwhile, local golfers and in-the-know visitors have discovered the 27-hole Boulder Creek Golf Club, a jewel-like Boulder City muni located just three miles from Cascata. Boulder Creek Golf Club is widely regarded as one of the best value tee times in Las Vegas it s well worth the 30-minute drive from The Strip. Course architect Mark Rathert designed all three nines Desert Hawk, Coyote Run and El Dorado Valley in a desert-links style. With generous, wide-open fairways, no blind shots, no hidden hazards, and very little rough, Boulder Creek Golf Club offers a user-friendly game in a delightful setting that is free of course-side housing. During your round you ll be treated to some great views of the surrounding hills and mountains. The Desert Hawk and Coyote Run nines are on the clubhouse side of the property, while the practice facility and El Dorado Valley nine are across Veterans Memorial Drive. The road is quite busy, but a tunnel passes underneath the roadway so you don t have to fear traffic. Each day the course sets the day s routing. More often than not, the Desert Hawk and Coyote Run nines form the standard eighteen for morning play. Desert Hawk and Coyote Run each begin and end with impressive doglegs that bring small lakes into play. Water only enters the fray on a couple of other holes on those nines and not at all on the El Dorado Valley nine. You will have to hit over an arroyo that crosses a number of fairways on each of the nines. While Desert Hawk and Coyote Run have palm trees and are a bit lusher, El Dorado Valley is treeless with low scrub desert vegetation. Wind is a factor all throughout Boulder Creek Golf Club. The holes on all three nines boast nice variety. Split fairways and strategic bunkers are key elements in the layout. The fairways tend to firm up and yield a good amount of run out. Since there s almost no rough, balls that veer off the wide swathes of groomed turf often disappear into the desert. The bentgrass greens at Boulder Creek Golf Club have a patchwork appearance with poa annua mixed in, but they nonetheless roll fast, smooth and true with subtle breaks rather than pronounced undulations. Boulder Creek Golf Club boasts nice practice facilities. While the two nines on the clubhouse side of the property share a putting green, the club s full driving range, chipping green with practice bunkers and primary putting green are located across the street. The Clubhouse features a well-stocked pro shop and a full-service bar and restaurant that serves lunch and dinner. Boulder Creek Golf Club is proof you don t have to spend big bucks to enjoy rousing golf in Las Vegas.
