Online Booking - Round of Golf at Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa
Although this golf course first opened in the late 1800s, a redesign in 1923 by the great Donald Ross is what makes Omni Grove Park Inn what it is today. The par-70 course, which was restored in 2002 to get closer to its original Ross roots, is a classic design and a joy to play. Part of the historic Grove Park Inn resort, where everyone from Henry Ford to former President Barack Obama have stayed, the golf course plays just over 6,000 yards. The likes of Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus have enjoyed the classic variety of holes at Grove Park Inn Golf Course, which is rated more than four stars on Golf Pass and has been ranked as one of the top resort courses in America by Golfweek magazine. The holes, which sit below the crest of Sunset Mountain, are routed through gentle hills with fairways lined by mature hardwoods with elevated tees and greens. Some of the fairways can be a bit narrow, putting a premium on accuracy and course management. The greens, in typical Ross style, can be difficult, so a great short game is a must. Water features and native areas add to the challenge. There is no driving range, but there is a chipping green and putting green. Golf instruction is also available. A golf shop with logged merchandise and apparel is located in the clubhouse. There are also many dining options at the resort with the closest to the golf course being the Cabana Bar & Grill, which is open seasonally, offering a lighter-fare menu of sandwiches, salads and snacks, along with soft drinks and a full bar.
