This makes our climate much cooler than Phoenix (Phoenix is called the "Valley of the Sun" for good reason) and even cooler than neighboring Tucson, just to the north. The beautiful Santa Rita Mountains and Elephant Head offer a dramatic backdrop to the beauty of Torres Blancas. Mt. Wrightson, our highest mountain at over 9,450 feet is often crowned with snow during the winter. However, our winter climate is ideal on the course, with daytime temperatures into the 70`s, 80`s, and even an occasional 90.
