Donations help Mothers Against Drunk Driving host workshops to provide parents with strategies for talking to teens about underage drinking.

According to data cited by Mothers Against Drunk Driving, in 2006, 10.8 million young people aged 12–20 reported drinking alcohol during the previous month, and of all fatal traffic crashes involving teen drivers, 33% of teen drivers killed in crashes had alcohol in their system. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) strives to prevent underage drinking, stop instances of drunk driving, and support victims and families affected by drunk driving. As part of these efforts, the organization provides education for parents on how they can help prevent underage drinking.

Through its Power of Parents program, MADD educates parents on the most effective ways to initiate conversations with their kids about the dangers of underage and binge drinking. The program hosts free Power of Parents, workshops facilitated by trained staff and volunteers, and distributes a handbook written with the help of Dr. Robert Turrisi of Pennsylvania State University.

Join G-Team and donate $10 to help MADD teach parents research-proven strategies for discussing the dangers of underage drinking with their children. If G-Team members raise $400, then MADD can host a free 30-minute Power of Parents workshop. Each additional $10 donation will be used to provide another parent workshop. Nationwide Insurance, the presenting sponsor of the Power of Parents program, will match all donations.

Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
