About Grouper and Chips

Gulf Coast Grouper & Chips may be a tiny, unassuming restaurant, but the Naples Daily News says, "You will become a regular." Its signature baskets of deep-fried grouper and chips keep patrons coming back for more, as do dishes made in the classical French technique by chef and co-owner Francis Pischner, who has worked at a five-star French restaurant in Miami. The jumbo lump crab cake boasts a roasted-red-pepper beurre-blanc sauce, and the tomato-fennel broth of the bouillabaisse makes its way into every nook and cranny of the dish’s mussels, scallops, and lobster.

The intimate space pays homage to the 1940s and ’50s with nostalgic pictures of Elvis, Humphrey Bogart, and Marilyn Monroe doing the hokey pokey. To round out meals, Chef Pischner handcrafts a key-lime pie that is as sweet as the pink-and-blue walls.
