The float pods inside H2O Float Spa are meant to block out the outside world, going so far as to even block gravity—or at least give the illusion of zero gravity. Inside private rooms, each tub is filled with 10" of water and more than 1,000 pounds of high grade Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate). That dense liquid allows the body to float peacefully without effort and the combined experience is meant to yield both mental and physical health benefits. A session inside one of the pods or open concept tubs has the potential to improve creativity, flush toxins from the body, or ease body aches, among many other outcomes. Yet complete silence and darkness are just some of the options here. The chambers also come equipped with user-controlled LED light cycles and digital music player connections so people can bring and play their own sounds if they wish.
