Know Before You Go
- Gliding altitude: 2,000 feet
- What to wear: weather-appropriate clothing (T-shirt and shorts if it's warm, long-sleeve shirt and pants when it's chilly, a light jacket in winter)
- No experience necessary
- Flights Thursday through Monday
- 2 flying sessions per day: 9 a.m. and 2 hours before Sunset.
- Weight limit is 225 lbs.
- This is a weather-dependent sport. If weather conditions are not conducive to a safe and positive experience, flying is shut down. We do not fly if it is foggy, rainy, or too windy. If there is inclement weather, Hang Glide Wisconsin will text you the evening before your reservation. It is recommended to have an alternate date in mind.
- When you arrive at the flight park, start with some paperwork, go into a 15-minute Orientation that explains what will happen on your flight, take care of any payments, then go flying. Up to 8 people per session are scheduled. The Instructor will show you how the glider flies, and give you an opportunity to fly it yourself.
- To make a reservation you can call, text, or email (hangglidewisconsin@gmail.com). We need a name, an email address, a phone number that takes text messages, # of people, date-time requested. We fly in Wisconsin thru September yearly, so please be proactive about your reservation dates.
- No personal recording devices are allowed on your flight. We offer an optional Media Package at $45 each.
