When warm weather arrives, some people like to explore nature while others just want to kick back and relax. Heartland Tubes combines the best of both worlds with its outdoor float trips along the Niobrara National Scenic River, which sees upwards of 60,000 visitors per year. Four Things to Know Before Your Float Trip

• Be ready to immerse yourself in nature. As you lazily float down the river, you'll see six different ecosystems, Nebraska's highest waterfall, and possibly a variety of wildlife including buffalo and bald eagles.
• Bring the essentials, including sunscreen, bug spray, river shoes, sunglasses, hats, and a cooler to store beverages and snacks.
• Alcohol is allowed. You can stock up your cooler with cold brews, but don't forget to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.
• Littering is not acceptable. Be sure to dispose of all your trash when you get off the river, and do not bring any styrofoam or glass products that may be harmful to the environment.
