Whereas tattered ragamuffins with gambling hands are prone to dining with the fishes, it's the esteemed members of land-society who dine atop the fishes. Today's Groupon merges seafaring and supping proclivities: for $60, you get a three-hour cruise from Infinity and Ovation Yacht Charters on July 17, hosted by the Social Connection. The cruise includes passed hors d'oeuvres and two complimentary drink tickets, and it is followed by an after-party at The Beach Grill (a $135 total value, including ticket, entertainment, food and drink, and all taxes and service fees). Boarding starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Jefferson Beach Marina in St. Clair Shores, and all cruisers must be at least 21 years old.

Board the award-winning, 138-foot, three-decked Ovation yacht for an evening of gourmet dining and DJ-spun sounds atop a water-defiant vessel. As you fill your eyes with the bobbing Detroit skyline and watch the sky-orange drench ripply waters in its juicy rays, fill your belly with an array of hors d'oeuvres, including cheese and fruit, white-cheddar pasta with grilled chicken breast, beef tenderloin with cambozola cheese, various desserts, coffee, and more. Bite-sized edibles pair swimmingly with two complimentary drinks, with more available from a full-service cash bar. At 11 p.m., the boat will park for a half-hour dockside float to cap off the first half of the evening, and to ease the strain on hardworking open waters exhausted from keeping the heavy ship afloat.

From 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., cruisers are invited to kick off their sea legs and engage in hearty fun-having at the no-cover, no-line after-party at The Beach Grill. Though no transportation will be provided, The Beach Grill is right outside the dock. The lively party space boasts expansive watery views as well as a 700-square-foot dance floor to accommodate numerous dancers or a few big, red Clifford dogs. There are also 5,000 square feet of waterfront deck, where dance-contest losers can re-work their shimmying strategy.

This deal is valid for a cruise on July 17 only. You must provide your own transportation to The Beach Grill.
