Jet City offers a comprehensive training program for women aspiring to be roller derby skaters; or those who would like to train like one! Our basic skating classes are geared towards those who haven't put skates on since junior high school while our advanced classes challenge those with skating skills.

What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans? We are all ages and from all walks of life! We are stay-at-home moms, doctors, teachers, bartenders and students. If you can overcome your fears about starting a new sport you will be rewarded with a new way to push yourself. Don't have your own gear? We can provide some until you do.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Roller derby is a grassroots, amateur sport run by women. It's an organized sport with rules, officials, practices and public events. There are hundreds of teams across the US and around the world. Most of all, it's fun and you get to meet interesting people working toward a common goal.

What do you love most about your job? Roller derby provides a way for women to challenge themselves in ways they may not have imagined before. It's a physically tough sport played on roller skates that is highly addictive and a ton of fun to learn and to play.
