About Jimmy Carter's Mexican Cafe

Jimmy Carter's Cafe was founded in 1991 by a talented restauranteur. Tired of fruitlessly searching the area for authentic Mexican cuisine, in 2008 the restaurant took on its current name, Jimmy Carter's Mexican Cafe. Eating and laughing in multiple, festive dining rooms, each more spacious—and more yellow—than the next, visitors sip sangria and chow down on an array of classic Mexican dishes. These include freshly-smashed guacamole, signature burritos and tamales, and a richly flavorful puerco en mole. But while the focus is on authentic Mexican favorites, cooks also deftly prepare an array of Stateside classics too, including burgers and hearty breakfasts like chicken fried steak and eggs. While the culinary influences at Jimmy Carter's are often far-flung, many of the beers are local, hailing from microbreweries in the area.
