Lips dappled with drops from a chocolate peanut-butter shake are downright irresistible. Today’s Groupon gets you $20 worth of burgers, fries, shakes, and more for $10 at one of four Atlanta-area Johnny Rockets locations.

Johnny Rockets is famous for its hand-pressed, grilled burgers, such as the Rocket Double (two patties, two slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and special sauce) and the Route 66 (topped with swiss, grilled mushrooms and onions, and mayo). Bite into a fresh, natural ground beef patty grilled to order, or substitute a ground turkey patty or smoky soy Boca burger.

Love for Johnny Rockets comes in all shapes and sizes. AOL City Guide says Atlanta Johnny Rockets has one of the city’s best burgers. With fries and onion rings, hand-dipped ice cream, shakes and malts, tuna melts, chicken tenders, Rocket wings, patty melts, and root beer floats, Johnny Rockets gives you an all-American experience. Johnny’s cream and red Eisenhower-era décor, tabletop jukeboxes, and smiling dancing servers make it feel like an Archie comic, but not the issue where Archie gets drafted.

Johnny Rocket: Boy Astrolad

The '50s-inspired diner franchise was actually named for spunky boy astronaut Johnny Rocket, who captured American hearts in the '50s with a series of high-flying space exploits. Tragically, he encountered a radioactive meteorite that caused him to stop aging altogether.

After returning to Earth as a perpetual boy, his endless childhood became rocky as the 'turbulent 60s derailed America's space-age dreams, and Johnny was forced to confront an alienating cultural adolescence.

Increasingly bitter, Johnny found renewed purpose as the star of the 1970s sitcom Call Me Paul, the story of a precocious orphan boy named Paul who was adopted by a sweet and loving orphanage. Call Me Paul aired until the 1980s, but was suddenly canceled when Rocket's tax evasion came to light.

After a brief battle with cereal addiction, a refreshed, reenergized Rocket returned to the spotlight as an independent senate candidate for Rhode Island, where he serves to this day.
