Eighty percent of America's cucumber crop goes toward making pickles; the other 50% is distributed among spas for edible eye coverings. Harvest your senses with today's Groupon: for $19, you get one 24-hour spa day at King Spa Fitness in Palisades Park (up to a $45 value).

King Spa Fitness's 12 saunas bathe visitors in the therapeutic warmth of han-jeung-mak—Korean heat therapy—within a 40,000-square-foot facility. Flanking the golden pyramid-shaped sauna's entrance, a pair of stone lions welcomes guests into the balmy interior, which melts away tension beneath an inverted-triangle ceiling covered in hair-metal-band posters. The ice room nips at stress-induced fatigue with frost-encrusted walls, and the rock-salt sauna replicates 500-year-old relaxation therapies atop a bamboo-mat floor in a carved-stone hut. A treadmill- and elliptical-lined fitness center stimulates the cardiovascular system without stampeding rhinos, and an on-site restaurant fulfills the digestive system with Asian-inspired fare.

Although King Spa Fitness sometimes offers a discounted price online, this Groupon still offers the best deal available.

About King Spa NJ

Open from 9 a.m. until 2 a.m. seven days a week, the Korean spa's massive 40,000-square-foot facility houses multiple floors, which each feature saunas aimed at providing visitors with relaxation and health benefits. Heated to a pore-opening 200 degrees Celsius from burning oak-tree wood, the dome-shaped hot-steam room—bulhanjeungmok in Korean—features floors made of yellow soil and salt that replicate a 500-year-old therapy designed to treat illness and pain. On the complete opposite side of the temperature spectrum, the ice sauna uses freezer-like frosted walls to cool the air around patrons sitting on log stools or standing on their hands. In between hopping from sauna to sauna, visitors may hang out in one of the lounges, get a haircut, or even grab a warm Korean meal or refreshing dessert.
