Afterward, the incision is closed with sutures and covered with gauze, with bruising and swelling dwindling over the next two weeks. Patients can generally return to work two days after the procedure, which lasts between 45 minutes and two hours, and resume other normal activities in about two weeks. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled in the following week.
