About 12 Mile Stables
12 Mile Stables defies the limits of its name with 27 miles of riding trails that weave through 3,300 pristine acres of Cherry Creek State Park. The trails explore all manner of terrain including protected wetlands, grassland prairies, and short, rolling hills. Experienced guides lead riders and their steeds on trots throughout the grounds, occasionally stopping to admire the scenery or replace the dangling apples at the end of riders’ fishing rods. 12 Mile Stables also hosts riders for horsemanship lessons as well as wagon rides powered by the stable’s trusty team of clydesdales.
