Lakeside Lanes first opened in 1959, and its retro-style sign has been beckoning visitors to enjoy a game of candlepin bowling ever since—the viewers of local television station WMUR even lauded it the Best Bowling Alley in New Hampshire for 2015. Of course, there have been a few changes since then: today, guests find the classic alley updated with computerized scoring and a state-of-the-art sounds system, which comes in handy during Lakeside's glow bowling nights.
