About Lincoln Children's Museum
Since 1989, the Lincoln Children's Museum has offered kids a way to learn via hands-on fun. The building matches interactive education with an eco-friendly approach; it's the first green building in Lincoln, including being constructed in part with recycled materials and actively conserving energy and water wherever it can be done.
- Size: 23,300 square feet over three floors
- Eye Catcher: the three-story Cuckoo Construction, with a cuckoo foreman and foam bricks sent tumbling every 15 minutes; kids can help rebuild the wall by loading the bricks on a conveyor belt
- Permanent Exhibits: Puppet Theater, Performing Arts Center, Hy-Vee Grocery Store, Union Bank, Tracy's Collision Center, Husker Sports Arena, Sky High Airport
- Hands-On Fun: Me and My Shadow lets kids use their shadows to pop bubbles, catch bugs, and control objects
