Liquid Descent Whitewater Rafting is not available until May 15.

If you purchase multiple vouchers each voucher will need to be individually booked into the same time slot. If you book only one voucher the merchant may not be able to accommodate your group.

  • Beginner tip: 9 a.m., 12 p.m., or 3 p.m.
  • Intermediate trip: 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., or 5 p.m.
  • Half-day advanced trip: 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., or 5 p.m.
• Departure location: Idaho Springs Outpost (1896 Stanley Road, Idaho Springs, CO 80452)
• Age restrictions: must be 5 or older for a beginner trip (age may increase during high water), 13 or older for an intermediate trip, and 15 or older for an advanced trip.
• Other restrictions: for the advanced trip, participants must know how to swim

• Notable sights:
  • Beginner trip: rapids such as “Mountain Lion”, “Dizzy Lizzy”, “Powerline”, and “Castle Falls”.
  • Intermediate trip: class III/IV rapids like “Hemorrhoid”, “Fall River”, “Deliverance”, “Nomad”, and “Phoenix”.
  • Advanced trip: class IV rapids like “Guide Ejector”, “Double Knife”, “Hell’s Corner”, “Corkscrew”, and “Horrendous Left Turn”, bighorn sheep
• What to wear: quick drying clothes (not cotton), footwear that will stay on feet (no flip flops), and sunscreen
