Without craft stores, no one would be able to find the materials needed to build a tricycle for a kitten or to glue sugar-cubes together in the shape of a dinosaur femur. Encounter aisles of creativity with today’s Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of crafts at Little Shop of Crafts. This Groupon is good at either of Little Shop of Crafts' two Manhattan locations.
Its modest name notwithstanding, Little Shop (or Best Shop, to many) of Crafts has a huge selection of artistic and artisanal supplies and activities. Paint your own plaster or pottery on-site ($13.95+, with no studio fee), or create a cuddly stuffed animal ($32.95) with hypo-allergenic stuffing. Mosaic kits ($21.95+) let crafters coat tabletops and toaster ovens with bright glass patterns, and you can design your own T-shirt ($18.95) with the world's most obscure joke, which science has proven to be Mr. Belvedere's head superimposed on the Mona Lisa with a word balloon proclaiming, "Everybody say YATTA!" As you pleasantly ponder new shirt designs and unimagined craft coups, Little Shop will be happy to lubricate your imagination with complimentary wine on adult nights (available on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and at Westside location only on Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.). Private party rooms are also available—mention Groupon when booking, and you'll receive 10% off your entire party.
Not valid toward classes.

About Little Shop of Crafts
Little Shop of Crafts may have "little" in its name, but the creative opportunities that the DIY art center offers are anything but. Bisque pottery pieces, such as mugs, sushi plates, and candle holders, await custom paints and glazes. Mermaids, planes, and other plastercraft figurines receive customized coats in a a variety of hues. The shop also stockpiles a massive collection of glass tiles that can be transformed into stunning mosaics in the form a flower or surrounding a picture frame. Fine arts classes for youngsters teach fundamentals such as composition and shading, and adult functions corral grownups together for team-building exercises or bridal showers that take a break from the usual throwing-the-bride-in-the-shower routine.
