Looking for a fun and relaxing way to spend a summer day? Look no further then the Lone Star Float House and Grill. Our River Tubes are the perfect way to float down the Guadalupe River while soaking up the sun and a nice beverage while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Whether you're looking for a solo adventure or a group outing with friends and family. our tubes can accommodate anyone and everyone. Guests arrive by vehicle to rent all the tubes and gear they need for a day on the water. From there, we load you on one of our shuttles and take you up river and drop you at one of our many drop-off points, depending on the length of your float trip. As you float back downriver, the smell of our Burgers, Nachos, French fries, or maybe a good ole Frito Pie announces your arrival back at the Lone Star Float House, where you can order food and drinks to enjoy the rest of your day on the river. Our float trips range from 1 hour to 4 hours. So grab your sunscreen, pack a cooler, and get ready for a day of fun in the sun with the Lone Star Float House and Grill.
Thing's To Know
- Rates vary based on if you are using our equipment or your own personal equipment.
- Using our equipment will be cheaper, especially if you have a large party coming in multiple cars due to the parking fee.
- We have life jackets for all ages upon request.
- Glass, Styrofoam or any container 5 Oz's or smaller (Jello shots) are NOT allowed on the river. You can be fined up to $500 if you are caught with any of them.
Age Restrictions:
- We Will Not allow anyone under the age of 4 to go tubing due to safety restrictions.
- Ages 4-8 MUST wear a life jacket and walk around the tube chute.
- Anyone under the age of 16 is NOT allowed to go floating by themselves.
- Ages 16 and 17 may float by themselves, but only if a parent/guardian is with them to give consent when filling out the contract.

About Lone Star Float House
Lone Star Float House is both the starting point and the ending point of Guadalupe River float trips. Guests arrive the first time via car to rent all the tubes and gear they need for a day on the water. From there, Lone Star buses them to different points along the river, depending on the length of their float—trips can last anywhere from one to six hours. As they float back downriver, the smell of burgers, nachos, and frito pies once again announces their arrival at Lone Star Float House, where they can order a drink and hang out on the patio listening to music or watching other float trips come in for the day.
