Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival
For four days in August, Grand Avenue transforms into a highway to haute cuisine during the Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival. The festival features a live performance by DJ Questlove and The Roots, and welcomes a distinguished list of Michelin starred honorees, James Beard Award winners, and Food & Wine Best New Chefs, such as Thomas Keller, Tyler Florence, Curtis Stone, Michael Chiarrelo, and Elizabeth Flakner, as well local celebrity chefs such as Nancy Sliverton, Neal Fraser, and Ray Garcia.
Attendees stroll around, tasting offerings from more than 100 chefs and local and international wineries, breweries, and distilleries. They can also attend special events, such as a cooking demonstration with Food Network star Alex Guarnaschelli and a special lunch at Love & Salt that pairs artisanal wine with gourmet food.
Even though it’s only in its fifth year, the glamorous fest has racked up the praise from various press outlets, including Forbes, which deemed it one of America’s Best Culinary Festivals. It has also been known to attract such celebrities as Fergie, Neil Patrick Harris, and Anthony Davis. See video highlights here:.
