About Lynfred Winery
If Robert Mondavi told you to move to California to make wine, you'd most likely listen. Luckily for Illinois residents, Fred Koehler did not. Instead, the self-taught winemaker stuck to his Illinois roots—literally—and planted Lynfred Winery in Roselle, an act that earned him the unofficial title of the "father of the Illinois wine industry". Fred's loyalty to his home state paid off: Lynfred Winery's wines began to rack up awards within just a few years of opening.
Today, the Lynfred family are at the helm of Lynfred Winery, which has expanded to include several tasting rooms, including Tasting deVine Cellars in Naperville. Here, guests can sample varietals by the glass, or enjoy wine tastings and other special events, such as wine and chocolate pairings on the weekends. To make the entire experience that much more fun, the tasting room also organizes regular events such as live concerts by local musicians as well as neighborhood wine walks.
