Like love and 30-foot-long cybernetic limbs, great magical performances leave people simultaneously delighted and confused. Experience happy bewilderment with today’s Groupon to a Magic of Polynesia dinner and stage show, performed seven days a week at the Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel in Waikiki. Guests must arrive by 5 p.m. to be seated for the 5:30 p.m. dinner. The performance starts at 6:30 p.m. Choose from the following options:

• For $28, you get one child's dinner-and-show package (up to a $57 value for ages 4–11; children younger than 4 enter for free).
• For $44, you get one adult's dinner-and-show package (up to an $89 value).
• For $69, you get one adult's deluxe dinner-and-show package (up to a $139 value).

Hawaii's longest-running magic show combines colorful, Polynesian-inspired song and dance with fire throwing, extravagant special effects, and the Merlin Award–winning legerdemain and magical maestro John Hirokawa. Waterfalls pour, stars gleam softly, and a live volcano erupts in the high-tech auditorium, evoking the majesty of the Pacific Islands without exposing audience members to falling papaya fruits. Tiered seating enables unobstructed views of the show’s master illusionist escaping impossible traps, dissolving people and Ovaltine into thin air, and blinking faster than the speed of a cartwheel.

Rumbling stomachs are sated to ensure that they don't outdo the on-stage pyrotechnics, with standard dinner offerings including burgundy-braised beef short ribs and pan-seared mahi-mahi for adults, and soy-ginger-marinated chicken with buttery mashed potatoes for kids. The deluxe dinner menu’s swanky selections include leaf-wrapped seafood laulau with lobster, spinach, scallops, and fish. All dinners come with dessert, coffee, and tea, and vegan and gluten-free options are available.

_ Illusionist John Hirokawa performs Tuesday–Saturday. Sunday and Monday performances showcase a different magician, Michael Villoria. Additionally, John Hirokawa will not perform on October 2–18. Although Magic of Polynesia sometimes offers a discounted price online, this Groupon still offers the best deal available._
