Henry Clay, the 19th-century senator, was feared by other politicians for his fiery orations but celebrated in the arts community for his even fierier clay kiln. Commemorate Clay through clay with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $29 for a two-hour clay-modeling class (a $60 value)
  • $35 for a two-hour glass-fusing class (an $80 value)

While the classes are open to children, they're conceived for adult learners; students can choose the two-hour glass-fusing class (ages 8+) to get hands-on experience with regular, fusible, and rainbow-hued dichroic glass or learn the ways of clay in a two-hour basic pottery class (ages 4+). Each participant will bring home a personal clay creation—a vase, bowl, or miniature bust of Spiro Agnew. All materials are provided. Classes convene at 7 p.m.–9 p.m. on Wednesdays and 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Saturdays. Class subjects alternate each week; see the full calendar.
