Frank Mancuso Sr. opened the original Mancuso's Florist in Detroit in 1923 and even kept the doors open on Sundays—a rarity at the time—in order to provide the citizens with the perfect arrangement any time they needed a gift or to dress up their homes. Since its launch close to 90 years ago, the store has opened and operated every single day of its existence.
