What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We use the kicking and punching in Karate to have fun but more importantly, we use that fun to develop focus and to improve self-confidence. Instructors emphasize that students always do their best. Providing your best effort when trying something new is more important than having good technique.

What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Remember that students train to learn but more importantly, that they are here to have fun. No one is perfect, so mistakes are expected. We learn from our mistakes. The goal is to try our best at all times, especially when it's at something new.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The family environment that we have within the classes. Martial arts is one of the few activates that kids and their parents enjoy training in together. Personally, I have had the pleasure of training with my two kids for more than six years. This is the only job where I've been able to take my kids to work.

What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about my job is working with people. Being a part of someone's personal growth is amazing...ask any teacher. My job is to teach martial arts, but it goes beyond martial arts. It's more about developing a student's life skills so they're more successful in life.
