Professor Darren Turner has been studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2006.
Catch Wrestling and traditional wrestling starting in 2004.
Then under Professor Jerry Boroff in 2009 and Master Carlos Machado and achieved his Black Belt on October 12, 2019. Mr. Turner has also done 5 years of American Karate and 2 years of kickboxing and Catch wrestling under Hank Morgan. He has taught and coached several sports for many years including soccer and basketball.
Professor Turner is also an Eagle Scout and spent four years in the U.S. Army Reserves.
His education includes three associates degrees from Texas State Technical College; Biomedical Engineering, Telecommunications, and Basic Electronics.
Professor Turner taught Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as A Coaches assistant at WACO ACADEMY OF MARTIAL ARTS in Waco,Texas for 3 years.
Head Instructor 5 years in West, Texas at The Bug Lab and 3 Years at Central Texas
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
1 year at Storm MMA &FITNESS and is excited to bring his extensive experience and teaching ability to Martial Arts of Waco!
