Three IPL Facial Treatments
Choice of 1 or 3 IPL Facial Treatments. After applying a cooling gel, a technician uses an IPL device to shower the skin with pulses of focused light that help diminish the appearance of sun spots, visible blood vessels, and other pigment irregularities.
How Limelight IPL Works
The Limelight IPL treatment uses advanced non-laser IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology. We gently deliver precise amounts of light energy to the area being treated. The light passes through the skin’s surface to help release stubborn sun spots, reduce blood flow to broken capillaries and stimulate collagen production. The new collagen might help to soft the appearance of the skin, reducing the effects of aging such as: enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles. It can also help in treating redness and acne associated with rosacea.
It is recommended for patients that have a lighter skin complexion and have not been exposed to UV rays within 2 weeks of the treatment.
Limelight IPL Recovery
Some patients can experience pinkness or redness, similar to sunburn, that fades within a couple hours to few days . Darkening of the skin can occur in patients being treated for hyper-pigmentation and diminishes within a few days after treatment. All patients are encouraged to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen and avoid excessive exposure to UV after their treatment to avoid recurrence of sun damage.

Is Limelight IPL safe for all skin types?
No, it is only safe for light to medium skin colors. For darker skin tones you need a colorblind laser such as Laser Genesis
Is the treatment painful?
When the pulse of light is administered there is a mild pinching sensation. Gel and coold air is used to greatly minimize any discomfort.
How long it may last?
Over time spots may reappear with new exposure to the sun and from age. Continued treatment and a good sun protection regimen may be recommended.
